Last week, we covered how to use almonds internally. Now lets, cover external ways to use them.

  • Face mask: Setup a mixture of almond oil, honey and lemon juice and apply to your face as a mask about once a week. It will be absorbed into the skin, leaving it smooth, soft and supple. You should notice a reduction in fine lines, wrinkles and crow’s feet. You can also apply to dry patches and and flaky skin areas.
  • Hair conditioner: For hair care, use almond oil as a conditioner. Apply directly to scalp and rub in. Use small, gentle circular motions to thoroughly moisturize your scalp. Let it set in for about 20 minutes then rinse. You will notice your hair looking shiny, silky and healthy. A great way to stop breakage and split ends.
  • Astringent: Almond milk can be used keep skin looking young and healthy. Use this after washing to remove extra impurities and leave your skin looking smoother and tone.
  • Exfoliating scrub: Soak almonds with milk or rose water for a few hours, then grind them up. It will make a paste you can apply to your face. It will help remove all dirt and oil.
